I'm Jason Larsen, founder and consultant with Relic Health.

Along with my father-in-law (a physician), we started planning an alternative to traditional, insurance-based healthcare in 2013. After several months of planning, we realized our membership-based model was something other physicians were doing, and calling it Direct Primary Care.

We opened Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center on January 2, 2014 in Yakima, WA.

I remained with Assurance Healthcare as the CEO until March of 2025, when my family and I moved across the country to support my wife in her medical residency.

I'm passionate about helping spread the word about Direct Primary Care. It's the key bright spot in helping transform our medical system - for the sake of both physicians and patients.

For physicians, DPC offers the opportunity to practice medicine in their own style, at their own pace, without insurance representatives telling them what they can or can't do.

For patients, DPC is truly like having a doctor in the family. Now patients can have access when they need, with a physician that cares, at a price they can afford.
